This policy explains how AMP'D 12V handles information when you use the calculator or contact us.
Information we collect
The calculator runs in your browser and does not require an account. AMP'D 12V records limited first-party operational events needed to confirm the service is working, including calculator views, starts, completions, results views, emailed-result outcomes, rating submissions and affiliate-link clicks. These records may include a random identifier that lasts only for the browser tab, page path, referring domain, campaign labels and the button placement. This operational event dataset does not include a name, email address, IP address, user-agent or advertising click ID. If you voluntarily submit a calculator rating, its score and any optional name or comment are stored separately. Detailed anonymous calculator outputs are stored only if you allow Analytics. Google Analytics may collect basic technical and usage data such as browser type, device type, approximate location and pages visited. If you allow Advertising, Meta Pixel tracking may receive page URLs, browser or device information, online identifiers and a small number of event names. We may also receive information you voluntarily submit through a contact form, such as your name, email address and message.
How information is used
Limited first-party operational records are used to confirm that calculator, email, rating and affiliate-link features work and to produce aggregate service counts. Information is also used to improve the website, respond to enquiries, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. Google Analytics and advertising measurement are separate optional choices and are used only when you allow the relevant category.
Cookies and analytics
AMP'D 12V uses temporary session storage for limited first-party operational measurement. A random tab-based identifier and first-touch source labels connect anonymous events from the same visit and are cleared when the tab session ends. Google Analytics remains optional and is activated only if you allow Analytics. Advertising measurement remains optional and is activated only if you allow Advertising. Your cookie preferences are stored locally for 90 days so the website remembers your choice. You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time.
Meta Pixel and advertising measurement
If you allow Advertising, AMP'D 12V uses the Meta Pixel to record page views and whether a visitor starts the calculator, completes it or successfully requests an emailed result. AMP'D 12V sends only those event names to Meta. We do not send your email address, appliance selections, CPAP selections, battery or solar result values, custom appliance information or other calculator inputs to Meta. Meta may use online identifiers and its own account information to measure advertising and create advertising audiences.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers needed to host, secure, analyse or operate the website, or disclosed where required by law.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are processed by AMP'D 12V through a secure Vercel serverless function and delivered using Resend, an email delivery provider. The name, email address, enquiry type and message you submit are used only to receive and respond to your enquiry and are kept no longer than reasonably needed for that purpose. If you would rather not use the form, no personal details are required to use the calculator itself.
Contact and access
You may contact AMP'D 12V through the contact form to ask what personal information is held about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
